Getting to know – Larissa Clarke

In order to get to know the Bedfordshire BusinessWomen members better, we have been asking them 10 probing questions because it is always useful as business women to find out what wine they prefer, whether they are morning people, and who their ideal dinner guests are.

  1. Money or fame?
    Neither are a huge driving force, although now with my new business money is more of a focus than in the past.
  2. What was your first job?
    At 9 years old I was chief chocolate bar pricer upper as my parents ran a newsagents.
  3. Early bird or night owl?
    Early bird, I’m hopeless after 9pm and known for falling asleep at inopportune moments form friends houses to the cinema to lectures to the back of a motorbike!
  4. What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
    Don’t wait until that magic moment when you feel ‘ready’ just go for it!
  5. Red or white wine?
    Depends on mood, weather, food. Love both! Also gin and Bourbon.
  6. What is your dream holiday destination?
    I love travel from a road trip to Norfolk to an Amazon jungle adventure, but right at this moment any tropical beach with a cocktail and a hammock would be bliss.
  7. Bond or Bourne?
    Bourne – more real, more rugged.
  8. You can invite 6 famous people, dead or alive, to dinner – who would you choose and why?
    I’d have to include fictitious in that too:
    Johnny Lee Miller’s Sherlock Holmes-fascinating and entertaining
    Guy Martin for his complete lust for life and passion for everything
    Frank Sinatra to hear his Rat Pack Vegas tales and croon to us whilst we eat
    A good chef to prepare the feast – I can burn toast
    Brandon Flowers (Killer’s front man) I’m a self confessed groupie
    Bear Grylls – to teach me ssurvival skills and entertain us with tales of adventure

    Summer, Britain in a good summer – perfect
  10. Top fitness tip for busy business women?
    Schedule your workouts into your diary and treat them with the respect you would a business meeting. A healthy body will make you a much more productive business woman and help achieve a positive balance in your life.​
