On Friday 9th March 2018, Bedfordshire BusinessWomen held their annual awards ceremony at the Park Inn, Bedford.
Bedfordshire BusinessWomen are a local ladies networking group and the longest running women’s networking group in Bedfordshire.
The annual awards ceremony is something that is very close to the organisations’ heart as the group believes it is important to showcase all women who are living or working in Bedfordshire and are successful in business, at each and every stage of their career.
This years’ event was held within the week which also marked International Women’s Day and was a celebration of Bedfordshire’s finest ladies as well as marking the 30th anniversary of the group.
The evening brought an array of entertainment. Local pop solo artist, Joe Bygraves, welcomed the evenings’ guests to the venue and the event was hosted by In2beats 106.5 FM; along with the increasingly popular Funk Odyssey band – a locally based group.
Awards were presented by the sponsors in the presence of HM Lord Lieutenant Helen Nellis who presented the BusinessWoman of the Year award and achievements were celebrated with family, friends and work colleagues.
Bedfordshire BusinessWomen also raise funds for a charity each year so all profits from the evening will go to the chosen charity of this year’s president, Natasha Moore of Woodfines Solicitors, which is the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford. The MS Therapy Centre offers advice, support, care and therapies to people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families, and has been doing so for 35 years now.
