Getting to know – Babs Morse

In order to get to know the Bedfordshire BusinessWomen members better, we have been asking them 10 probing questions because it is always useful as business women to find out what biscuits they prefer, whether they are morning people, and who their ideal dinner guests are.

Babs Morse, All Seasons Boutique, SandyOur latest victim is the lovely Babs Morse from All Seasons Boutique in Sandy.

  1. Bright colors or neutral tones?
    For me, definitely bright colours.
  2. What was your first job?
    Saturday girl in Waitrose
  3. Truth or dare?
    Dare!
  4. What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
By my hairdresser, don’t worry about making a £1 as it isn’t really a £1 by the time you take out your Vat, overheads etc.  What you need to do is find a way of saving a £1 by cutting costs etc as you save a whole £1!
  5. Heels or flats?
    Heels!
  6. What is your dream holiday destination?
    Seychelles
  7. Early bird or night owl?
    Night owl!
  8. You can invite 6 famous people, dead or alive, to dinner – who would you choose and why?
Queen Victoria – Such a strong woman, imagine what we could all learn from her!
Ava Gardiner – It would be very entertaining I’m sure to hear about her love life!!!
    George Michael – I’m an 80’s girl!
Cleopatra – I’m very interested in Egyptian history.
Caroline Aherne – as her Nan character as I think she is hilarious!
John Bishop – such a funny guy!
  9. Think before you talk or talk before you think?
3 second rule, think before you talk!
  10. Top style tip for Spring / Summer 2015?
There is a lot of blue around this year and blue and white is a key trend for S/S 15. As always good quality nude underwear is a must for under anything white or light in colour, not white as this will just show through. There are also lots of waterfall/drape cardigans for Spring which can be worn buttoned up on the shoulders to create a cape effect look. This will also carry through to Autumn/Winter 15.
